Questions travellers ask

What is Seen & Stamped?

Seen & Stamped is a free community travel guide made by and for ethnically diverse travellers, and open to everyone. Travellers add stamps for places they’ve been, with an honest verdict (Must go, Worth it, It’s okay or Not for me) and notes on how they were treated.

Is Seen & Stamped a Black travel guide?

It’s made for all ethnically diverse travellers, including Black, Asian, Latino, Middle Eastern and mixed-heritage travellers. You’ll find Black-owned places, Afro hair care, halal food and places where travellers of colour felt welcome.

Can I use it to find safe places to travel?

Stamps share travellers’ own experiences of how welcome and comfortable they felt, which helps you plan. They aren’t safety guarantees, so use them alongside official travel advice for your destination.

Is it useful for women and solo travellers?

Yes. Look for places tagged Solo-friendly and Women-owned, and read what solo travellers, including solo women, said about each one.

How are places checked?

Every stamp and collection is reviewed by a person before it appears. Travellers can then vote on stamps and add their own experiences, so the verdict reflects more than one visit.

Is it free?

Yes. Exploring the guide and adding stamps is free for everyone.
